District Assessment Coordinators cadre

KEDC DAC cadres will include time for participants to discuss and learn about ways to efficiently and effectively manage
their districts assessment services. Topics will include current assessment regulations, state and federal policies, current
research in assessment, using technology to enhance workflow, communication strategies to use with stakeholders parents,
media, staff), and effective reporting and record keeping.
 
 
 Delivery Strategies
KEDC DAC cadres may include Panel Q and A sessions,open forum conversation time, presentations by KDE staff,
presentations by experienced DACs, and sharing of research.
 
Implementation Impact
KEDC DAC cadres will include time for participants to discuss and learn about ways to efficiently and effectively manage

Session Description

Participants will spend the day learning new instructional methods that deepen students' mathematical understanding and refine classroom instruction.  These methods will be intertwined with the KAS, the 8 Standards for Mathematical Practices and Math Language Routines.

These were specifically planned to support KEDC districts facilitating the KDE KAS-PL mini-grant but are open to any KEDC district. 
 
These work sessions are ideal for teams (teams = 3 or more teachers from a district ) of teachers who are already familiar with the standards and are working on units, learning experiences, common assessments  or curriculum. 
 
The charge will be $125 per participant per day with lunch included. Sessions will be cancelled if the minimum registration of 12 is not met.
